SUP

Have you ever found your niche? The thing that makes your heart be at peace and you feel perfectly content?

That’s how I feel on and in the water. Just total peace. I can spend hours at the lake, in a pool, at the beach, on the river. It doesn’t matter what water it is, I feel at home. I struggle in the winter with not being able to get out and spend the day in the water. I can’t wait until the day where I can walk to the beach every day. To just wake up and head straight down to the water, listening to the waves, smelling the saltwater and feeling the sand beneath my toes. All while drinking fresh coconut milk. Seriously, doesn’t that sound perfect? The kids are little fish as well, yesterday Bryson and I told them we were going to go to the pool (we meant later in the day) and within two minutes they were dressed in bathing suits and ready to head out the door.

A couple of years ago we discover SUP (stand up paddle boarding) and instantly fell in love. It’s the perfect, chill sport to just hang out on the water and easy enough the kids can go with me or Lo can play on it. Foster used to love to do it, but he recently started to get scared of some things (which honestly, isn’t that bad of a thing. That boy is fearless!) and he’s not a fan of it now. He went on it with me at the beginning of the summer and was NOT about it. Riv on the other hand is ALL about it. He likes to get on, get to the water and hang his legs over the edge and splash. Him and Lo can also stand up with me. Riv still holds onto my legs but Lo can go to the front and balance herself.

What’s your thing? What’s something that makes your heart sing? Leave me a comment!

And a Happy World Breastfeeding Week to all the beautiful nursing mamas!
